Lion
Lion
Age: Kindergarten 5-6 Yrs
Den Leader: Parents
In the Lion Den, the adventure begins with a program of exciting indoor and outdoor activities designed for kindergartners and their adult partners. Adults are there as a support and guide, and allow the new Cub Scout to discover the activities under adult supervision. The scout will learn by doing things by themselves and as he/she learns, the relationship within Cub Scouts will grow.
Much of the advancement for the Lion rank is done by the scout with his/her adult partner. The Lion program relies heavily on family involvement at all the Scouting events, but you will see this gradually change with the Scout doing more with the Den as he/she grows comfortable in Cub Scouts.
