Band App Tips and How Tos
Manage your Notifications in the Band app Too many notifications or feel like you are missing things? Get your setting dialed in.
Get notifications sent to email. Email better place to catch you? This is your tip!
How to Sync a Band Calendar to a Google Calendar Skip copy and paste to your digital calendar. Band will feed events directly into your calendar. The steps to link to Apple, Yahoo or other calendar app are similar. You would just select the appropriate destination calendar other than Google. You will want to select Calendar "Pack 843" for the Pack events. Select a Den specific calendar for your scout(s) den(s).
Subgroups and Multiple Chats Contact with other adults in the Pack without having email addresses or phone numbers.
Pack Email
The Pack has an email box that is regulary monitored. Communications may be sent to and from that address. Parents are encouraged to use the Band App to facilite interaction across the entire Pack. Chances are if you have a question, someone else might have the same question.
Scoutbook
Scoutbook is the BSA online software for tracking scout's progress on requirements. Parents should ensure they have access to Scoutbook to follow their scouts progress and rank advancements. Parents will be required to do some rank requirements with their scout at home and will submit those completion via Scoutbook.
Parents for new joiners will recieve an email from Scoutbook when their Scout has been established in the Scoutbook system.
The Pack has a Facebook presence but it should not be considered a primary method of communications. Parents that utilize Facebook may request to join the private Facebook group if they have a Scout active in the Pack.
